Flaine Ski Resort Jobs & Seasonal Work

Flaine Ski Resort Jobs Originally developed in the 1960’s Flaine is a popular winter destination attracting visitors from all over Europe and the rest of the world. The resort itself is part of the larger Grand Massif ski region and if you land a ski job in Flaine then you will also have access to the resorts of Les Carroz, Morillon, Sameons and Sixt Fer a Cheval.

Located about an hour from Geneva airport it is easily accessible and served by a good public transport system. The village itself is somewhat controversial and has received a lot of criticism for its large concrete structures that don’t fit into the landscape of the area. It is however a fun resort which offers all kinds of seasonal job opportunities for individuals looking for ski jobs in Flaine.

With more than 160 miles of runs between the various resorts that make up the area, you will certainly not run out of options when it comes to your enjoyment on the slopes. It is also known for having a good snowfall record and offers a number of picturesque trails which are cut into the forest below the tree line.

When not on the slopes there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained with most of the nightlife centered around the White Pub and the Flying Dutchmen. Both of these establishments are also excellent places to consider applying for as they employ a number of seasonal staff in Flaine during the winter months.

One of the best options when considering ski resort jobs in Flaine, is to apply for a position at one of the many hotels, chalets and Bed and Breakfasts that are located in the resort. Some of the top establishments offering ski season jobs include…

Les Villages Clubs du Soleil – this is a budget hotel located just 5 minute’s walk from the ski lifts. It is quite a large establishment and offers a variety of different seasonal jobs including, reception positions, bar and waitress jobs, housekeeping opportunities, security jobs and many other customer service related opportunities.

Club Hotel le Totem – This large scale, family friendly hotel is another great option for seasonal workers. It attracts a largely British crowd so there is no need to be able to speak French, although some conversational French is always helpful. It is located close to the slopes and each year it employs a number of seasonal workers in the resort.

Chalets Hameau de Flaine – This Flaine Chalet is renowned for offering quality service at an affordable price. Staff members working here are expected to offer first class customer service and help enhance the reputation of the establishment. It is a little distance from the main lifts but is a fun place to work with a friendly but professional atmosphere.

What They Say…

“Spending the winter months working in Flaine was a fantastic experience. I had never worked a season before until I visited Flaine and I can’t speak hghly enough about my experience, the resort and the people I became friends with. I landed a job in Flaine with one of the main tour operators back in the UK and worked as a chalet host. If you are looking for a great experience and want to get out of the 9-5 grind then this is a great way to go!”

“Flaine is a fun resort and a great place to spend an extended period of time. I worked a full season in the resort as a ski resort rep and I enjoyed every minute of it. Yes the work was hard and the hours long but the experience was fantastic and we always found plenty of time to enjoy the slopes.”
